3 Nigerian games for weight loss

If you are like most of us Naija babes and mums (not that mums are not babes o, we are just trying to be cute) , it's easy to pile on the kilos but hard as rock to get them off. We feel you, in fact, we are you.
So we have compiled this list of 3 games most of us played when we were young that if tried now, will help with weight loss and make you happier as you remember the fun times you had growing up playing these games.

1. Hopscotch AKA Suwe
This is a game which combines hops, jumps and a few squats. Play this with friends or children for at least 30 mins and feel the burn. Good thing is you'll be feeling the fun as well.

2. Skipping
Growing up, there was always a skipping rope around. Wooden handle, plastic handle, no handle (we were creative like that). Skipping actually has been proven to be one of the most effective ways to burn a lot of calories. To have a more effective jump rope workout, you can use weighted ropes.

Read what shape.com has to say "Jumping rope burns more than 10 calories a minute while strengthening your legs, butt, shoulders, and arms. And it doesn't take long to reap major rewards. You can burn more than 200 calories in two, 10-minute sessions each day (that's 1,000 calories a week)!"
Now what are you waiting for? Go get your rope on girl!

 3. Jumping on the bed
Here we are assuming you had a bed and not just a mattress . It was fun jumping up and down, hair flying all around... Okay, halt! Don't jump on your bed. Remember the 10 little monkeys? Try getting a trampoline instead. Children will love it too.
